This is a "must have" for all Delphi programmers. Far more substance than most of the "Dummies" series. Delphi Programming For Dummies is a surprisingly concise, readable, well-organized, and useful overview of Delphi. Each chapter has "Helpful Tips" that alone are well worth the low price of the book.

Novice to Intermediate

Great for the novice programmer. It has a useful question-and-answer section at the end of each chapter. As a beginner's book it gets bogged down in the second half with more advanced issues, but the first half is perhaps the best foundation for learning Delphi.

Easy to read question-and-answer format. Good focus on database programming, a subject that is short-changed in most other books. Not much here for the advanced database programmer, but great for getting those new to Delphi up to speed.

Too simple for programmers with any previous programming experience. Aimed at the beginning programmer. Basic concepts of programming are presented along with explanations of how to use Delphi.
